These are truly the centerpiece of our Illusions of Grandeur event!
I found the original plaster maquettes for these beautifully sculpted angelic Santos heads from an antique dealer in Paris. They were probably used as church sculptures. He shipped them over to me and we made molds, and cast them in plaster. We then hand painted them and dipped them in beeswax, which gives them a soft patina. I mounted them on bases, and adorned them with antique tinsel and antique french wax wedding garlands. They come with a glass dome (packed carefully). This is the LAST one we will offer this year and it is the the LARGER size head and base - approx. 18” tall, including the glass dome.
