I have collected antique spun cotton birds for many years and finally decided to use them! These old cotton birds are hand colored, and have an anatomical correctness specific to a species. Arranged in a woodland scene with twigs and moss, and posed charmingly, they have the effect of vintage taxidermy without the sacrifice of an actual bird! Each one is like a secret moment in a corner of the natural world, suspended in time....
