One of the oldest theatrical love stories is that between Harlequin and Columbine. These two were ever present in pantomimes dating back to early Victorian times. The original prints of these charming theatrical characters date from the mid 1800's, and we have re-created them for you to make an authentic Victorian "tinsel painting". Each kit includes two 8" x 10" prints (ready to be lightly water colored if you choose), a fantasy assortment of tiny colorful dresden trimmings, small Victorian scraps, along with an assortment of very rare pressed metal sequins. These tiny sequins are about 150 years old and come from a secret drawer at Tinsel Trading. They come in a plethora of shapes, including florets, maltese crosses, wheat grains, and I believe this is the last actual stock of these antique ornaments in the world!
